The Academy for International Movement Studies strives to encourage the exploration of diverse artistic communities around the world, while fostering innovative partnerships between artists and public communities. Our program advocates responsibility and collaboration, encourages interdisciplinary explorations to create change, and cultivates audience education and growth across the borders.

The Academy fosters individuality and honors the creative spirit. We believe that a child's education in the Arts helps to educe the creative mind and expand their capacity for learning.

Our Dance Program is geared towards the young adult that is seeking an international dance adventure with unique cultural experiences.  With a daily developmental emphasis, The Academy for International Movement Studies offers young dancers a dance program ranging in ability from beginner to advanced.  Dancers learn techniques from a variety of styles and learn to create their own choreography.   The works of the faculty and students are showcased in scheduled international performances.

In addition, AIMS focuses on strengthening kinesthetic, emotional and atmospheric perceptions on how sound and music color one another in their movement and musical intentionality. Participants gain a greater sense of self and creative process that are invaluable tools in  the arts and for communicating and living in our world in general.

Our staff comes from many countries throughout the world. AIMS employs instructors proficient in the techniques of Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Street and Improvisation. The variety and extensive cross cultural experiences of our staff bring the highest standard in Arts education for our students.
