Does attendance at The Academy for International Movement Studies give students an advantage in the college acceptance process?

The Academy for International Movement Studies has developed a SAT preparation course in order to raise SAT scores. Your AIMS student will have the potential to score 150 points or more above the national average on the SAT exams.

Admissions offices are warmly receiving unique students with diversified cultural and travel experiences. Our upper-class courses incorporate these unique life experiences into their classes in order to help them earn their acceptance letter.

We help students set academic goals to achieve higher G.P.A.s. The combination of higher GPA and SAT scores means your student can choose their college.

Upper-class courses incorporate college application processes within their curriculum. Our English courses apply essay writing topics that appear on applications.

AIMS' Student Leader Program provides students with projects in international community service, international research and publication and logistics coordination.
What are some of the community service and leadership opportunities you offer your students?
Students will provide dance instruction to local Elementary Schools. There will be a number of Volunteer projects related to community outreach programs. Students will, for example, have the opportunity to participate in local animal rescue projects.
Would my students attend The Academy for International Movement Studies for a semester, three years, or four years?
Families often ask this question. The answer is yes to all. Some families anticipate their student(s) attending The Academy for International Movement Studies for one semester. Most often students attend for multiple years.
Is my student good enough in dance for The Academy for International Movement Studies?
Intermediates may be intimidated when they first join The Academy for International Movement Studies. We spend the first several days team building. Additionally, teachers meet individually with each student regarding their goals both academically and athletically. Our team is a support group that encourages everyone to progress and try new things. The confidence provided by this strong support group reaps remarkable results in self-confidence.
The Academy for International Movement Studies creates a learning environment for pushing the limits of what’s possible in Dance, by surrounding athletes with others who are passionate about dancing and want to discover new movement, explore their own creative process and expand their performance skills.
How often will I communicate with my child?
The Academy for International Movement Studies is proud of being the best communicator of programs in the Dance instruction industry. Weekly we post multiple reports and photos from the field. Many of these will be composed by your child with the goal of teaching multi-media relations as well as communicating what is happening.
Are Scholarships available?
The Academy for International Movement Studies is continually seeking tax-deductible donations for scholarship purposes. Please check our website often for future updates.
